Number Unknown – I keep missing that call

It happened to me again today, my phone rang, I couldn’t get to it in time and when I checked, number unknown, no voicemail.  It’s the 4th call of its kind I have missed in the past 2 weeks.

Experience tells me it’s probably some sales call, but what if it’s opportunity knocking on my door and I keep missing it?  What if it’s luck and money wanting to speak to me and I keep missing them?  What if it’s the Big person up there, wanting to tell me to keep focused, to advise me and I keep missing Him?

Some food for thought!

312 years on…Happy Vaisakhi

Today I would like to congratulate Sikhs around the world for Vaisakhi and also extend my humble good wishes to the rest of  humanity.

There are lots of articles on the web about Vaisakhi, however, for me, it represents a significant change in the Sikh religion. The events of 1699 resulted in the creation of identity, a willingness to stand up for yourself, to battle against oppression and tyranny, make hawks from sheep.  312 years on, I, together with so many, still carry the identity given to us, for they are gifts for life.

All around the world, Sikh communities celebrate Vaisakhi by hosting a parade and one of the great things about this is the joining in of other faiths, it really is fantastic. Our parade runs this weekend and I hope to capture some nice pictures for you all to see.  Joy, colour, harmony, charity, togetherness are just some of the themes of such events and hope to bring this through in my pictures.

“Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ke Fateh!” (Khalsa belongs to God, let victory be to God).

Q1 of 2011, still on track with your New Year’s Resolutions?

Like so many others, before stepping into 2011 I wrote an article around my New Year’s Aims, as I call them.  I was also fascinated to read what other bloggers had mapped out in terms of their objectives for 2011.  The question is, how are you are “performing” against those resolutions/aims/objectives? My Pics with Crazy Thoughts – The Kang Clan

Day 4 of my pics with associated crazy stories……..

“Have they gone?”

“Yes Boss”.

“You sure?”

“Yes Boss”

“Good. They were in for it but you guys held me back”.

“Boss, but you had your head in the sand with your hairy ass sticking up in the air”

“Shhh..”

Meet the Kang Clan, a force to be reckoned with in this sandy jungle.  They are runners for other clans, or as they put it, transportation consultants.  Deliver things from one destination to another.  Why were they hiding you ask?  They just recently delivered some goods to the Furry Lion Clan, turns out the goods were stolen from the FLC 2 weeks back, oops!
